Kenoteq CPD – building a sustainable world K-briq by K-briq

Come and learn more about how recycled UK construction and demolition waste is being converted into the world’s lowest carbon facing bricks by Scottish company, Kenoteq, developers of the pioneering K-briq®. The unfired brick, made from more than 90% waste construction material, is set to be a game changer in the industry and will bring ultra low carbon credentials and a high quality aesthetic to a project, whether that is developing a distinctive interior, a quality, high performing facade or supporting a sustainable brand. After over a decade of R&D at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh together with one of Scotland’s leading waste management companies, 3 million certified K-briqs will be rolling off the new commercial production line in East Lothian from late 2022 to bring new ways to enhance both the embodied carbon performance and aesthetic of projects. Kenoteq will present and discuss the story behind the K-briq as well as share K-briqs, their colour palettes and preliminary technical specification and sustainability credentials. The K-briq will be certified by the BBA and have its final certified EPD available by the end of the year.
