Taking a stand with futurebuild

On Friday 1st of July, EDGE hosted an event for futurebuild, our newest industry body partnering with EDGE. This event gathered construction manufacturers to find out what the future holds and how the journey to net zero could affect us. There was a panel discussion addressing what the industry needs to do to ensure we meet our net zero goal. Although achieving net zero is the responsibility of the entire construction supply chain, manufacturers will need to find new ways of helping architects, designers and contractors deliver buildings.

“We’re all on a journey to achieving the Government goal of net zero by 2050. This is not an easy task and the specification of materials to create buildings that are sustainable, energy efficient and resilient has never been so important.”
